Manchester Teams

After such a good start to the BPL  2011-2012 season for both Manchester teams everyone was looking to see which of the two teams would be the first to drop points. it was looking more to the Red Devils to be the first to drop points as they were the first of the two Manchester teams to face a top team with a match against Chelsea, which most persons were thinking of a draw or a lost on the day. While on that day Manchester City was schedule to face Fulham a mid-table team, Man City went in at the half with a 2-0 when Man United went up 2-0 as well it was looking like another day for Manchester. Half way in the second half Man City's lead was cut down when Fulham drew one back to make it 2-1 which was then levelled later in the game which ended in a 2-2 draw, making Man City the first Manchester team to drop points.

Strike threat

Sticking to strike threat

Spanish players are holding firm in their decision to carry out their first work stoppage in 27 years in their fight for a new collective bargaining agreement with improved salary guarantees.
The Association of Spanish Football Players (AFE) and Spanish league officials failed to hold talks Thursday but will meet again Friday. Unless a last-minute deal is reached, Spain's 42 first- and second-division teams will strike from Friday to Monday, delaying the opening week of the Spanish league.
With this latest news out of Span, it would seem that all major leagues will start later than usual for one reason or another.

This is no doubt the best match of the pre-season, with some of the best end-to-end football.

Signings of new players for clubs

As usual in the pre-season there were many new signings of new players for clubs all around the world, some for clubs already host for over 30 players some of which is yet to grace the field. Why is it then these clubs see the need to be buying new players almost every transfer window is it just out of the need to put out new jerseys or is it that they/ the clubs have a genuine need for a new name in their squad.
